 | Wisconsin is one of four states that still has a law making abortion a felony. Wisconsin's criminal abortion law is still on the books and would put women and doctors in prison for having or performing an abortion.
Physicians could be imprisoned for up to 15 years and fined up to $50,000. Women could be imprisoned for up to 3.5 years and fined up to $10,000.
The Women's Health & Safety Act has been introduced to throw out the dangerous and outdated criminal abortion law that was written in 1849. |
